    How good is the Echo Audiofire 4? Will it work reliably for recording guitar, sm57 mic, and using programs such as Reason 3 with low latency? FFADO doesn't yet fully support the Linux kernel's new FireWire implementation properly (the info on their website regarding this is rather ambiguous but the short answer is that it just doesn't work) so I built a custom kernel with the old FireWire implementation.
