You should test it with ALcaps. DSOAL is a wrapper. It can restore some EAX effects from 1 to 4, not completely. And still has issues with the level of reverb effects. Alchemy is a software that wrappes EAX calls into OpenAL. X-Fi and Audigy cards can do EAX effects trought OpenAL.
