I have a pair of 2 way bookshelf speakers that are branded as Dynaudio on the front grill however once you look on the rear of the speaker it says Dynaudio image 2, Handcrafted in Australia. The mid driver doesnt have the usual Dynaudio dustcap, rather it is a woven one.

Very high quality workmanship and parts, but not really true "Dynaudio". Yes, they used some Dyn parts but also probably Vifa and what ever other parts SCAN were importing at the time. Image 2 mkII (which I also have) sold for around the $1000 mark. Image 1's about $800, Image 3's (the pick of the range) were around $1400.
