Integration of the frequency range is smooth, and the DM2/7s are particularly capable where the bottom end is concerned: bass is solidly punchy, tightly gripped and tonally articulate. True all-rounders for the money And the Dynaudios have the speed and dexterity to make the most of this propulsive low-frequency presence.

Spatial placement of the instruments is well observed. Bass is tight and well-decorated. The upper case is clean and pleasant aurally. The sound differs by high detailing and the lack of coloring. At low volume level Dynaudio DM 2/7 plays as confidently as at high level. Price: $540.

The highs are very smooth, not bright at all (depending on the recording) and only instrumental (which I listen to a lot - both jazz and classical, very nice indeed). Our Dyn dealer sells a ton of their equipment (especially the 2/7's because of their price point). He has had many converts from other speaker lines.

Dynaudio DM 2/6 review | What Hi-Fi?

Like its much-admired big brother, the DM 2/7, these monitors are fine all-rounders. Tonally, they're well judged with just the right balance between highs and lows to make things sound even. Detail levels are also good, the speakers delivering enough insight to make even a complex piece of music such as Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians make sense.
