Dynaudio is correct in that the C1 is relatively easy to place in relation to room boundaries. This was a bigger issue in my small room, where being able to place them near the front and sidewalls returned huge benefits in sonic holography.

The C1 is the perfect speaker for the audiophile wanting extremely high performance in a compact space, but it also carries itself well in a big room: A visit to Simaudio in Montreal earlier this year reveals the C1s playing in Sim’s main sound room (almost 22 by 30 feet) and filling it nicely, with LF output that had me looking for a subwoofer.

I can’t say that I’m a fan of the Dynaudio Confidence C1’s looks or even its build quality, particularly given its high price. To my eyes, the styling is odd to the point of being unsightly, and the build quality, while good, is really nothing special. But I certainly like the way the C1 sounds.

Confidence C1 review - Audiogon Marketplace

    https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/confidence-c1-review
Although the sensitivity of 85-86dB and impendence 4 Ohms is usual for most Dynaudio speakers, C1 sounds subjectively louder than 1.3SE or 1.3Mk2 and are much easier to drive, comparable to Audience 50/52 (I owned all three models, so I can make comparison). This is due to obviously good correction of the lowest resistance and/or phase shift.

Confidence C1, Stereophile 11/07 - Dynaudio

    https://www.dynaudio.com/dynaudio/reviews/2007/november/confidence-c1-stereophile-1107/
Confidence C1, Stereophile 11/07. „The Confidence C1 delivers world-class performance in a real-world package. If you value openness and tonal clarity, the C1 is a contender. It will mate with small to midsize rooms in ways that larger speakers simply can't (yes, you can have too much loudspeaker), and it won't be overwhelmed by large spaces.”.
