    for thread completeness, i am just posting to say that i have run 98 hours worth of wideband pink noise through the 122s at approx +5db (speakers calibrated to 75db c-weighted). I can confirm that they have mellowed out an awful lot - not as bright and harsh as they were. I guess ex-dem equipment sometimes has to be considered as if it were new.
