The Audience 52se will preform better overall, especially in the highs. The Focus tweeter have one extra coating to smooth out the highs and you really can hear it in the female voice, it's lacking the upper range compare to the Audience 52se, which share the same tweeter as the Contour S series.

I'm pretty sure that the 17W75 mid woofer, which is used in the 52SE (and most likely also in the 52) is designed for a sealed enclosure, but I'll have to check my old Dynaudio specs to be sure. If that is the case, it may be simply a matter of closing up the vent to eliminate the overexcursion problem.

Within their design capabilities, none. This is my opinion of the 52SE version, a 2 way monitor rated at 4 ohms, 86db sensitivity, 13"x8"x9 1/2", non biwire accepting spades or bananas.
