DVDShrink and DVD Decrypter did their job. I opened the new files with Handbrake and it gave me the audio option to select only the english track w/o commentary. The first trick being to decrypt as full disc, not re-authored. Still working on the subtitles issue - can't find a program that will load .SUB files (although Handbrake accepts .SRT)

DVD Decrypter and AnyDVD both find the wrong title inside the DVD. They actually find the commentary video because it's the largest file. The audio is selected manually by the user in Decrypter so that's why you get the mis match. So, if you select the correct title (it's the 1:02 long title, not the 1:32 one) everything will work fine.
