The result. title.mp4, has both video and audio and plays just fine in VLC media player. But DVD Architect will not recognize the audio portion of the render. If I render to *.avi format, DVD Architect does recognize the audio, but the image is degraded. (The originals are clips from YouTube and some sections copied off of a DVD.)

Audio problem (after burning DVD) using DVD Architect ...

When I previewed in “DVD architect studio 5.0”, I was watching the rendered version from Sony Vegas. It was after I “Prepared” the video for DVD, and burned it the audio issues became apparent. However, last night I saved my project in “DVD architect studio 5.0”, I just watched it this morning in preview, and it sounds fine.

Sony DVD Architect Pro 5.0b No Audio Stream - VideoHelp Forum

Sometimes it will pick up the sound in the (mostly .mpg) file and sometimes it won't. Doesn't seem to matter what audio format. DVDA Pro will render the audio to AC3 if you tell it to, but the audio needs to be in the timeline in the first place. My workaround is to use DGIndex to demux the audio and then load it into the timeline.

Check that you use in VMStudio the DVD-Architect template, which does not include sound. Then do a second render to AC3 format to get the sound. Make sure you give the two rendered files exactly the same name except for the .mpg & .ac3 extensions. Then use Insert Media in DVDA Studio and bring your .mpg file, the .ac3 file will come with it.

No audio after burning - MSZ Forum - Movie Studio Zen

Do you have the final builds of Sony MSP 12 and DVD Architect Studio 5 (1184 and 186, respectively). Some builds of DVD A S 5 had trouble with AC-3 Studio audio. As the good Doc said, you need to render separately video and audio (DVD A PAL widescreen video stream AND Dolby Digital AC-3 Studio Stereo DVD). More on that in Derek's posts 2, 4 and 6.
