I suppose that because stereo can be selected that your card has an MSP chip or you did set up the wrong card in DScaler. If you enable "Automatic stereo adjustment", the audio will switch to stereo and mono automatically depending audio signal present. If you disable this mono/stereo should not be changed.

Actually I'm using the DScaler audio decoder and I'm routing everything through SPDIF (with the properties of the audio decoder) to my Denon receiver. Just watched a 3 hour movie ("Meet Joe Black") and had no problems with sync. Regards, Martin.
