LA Woman isn't just my favourite Doors album its one of my favourite albums. This was the Doors at their very best with every track a classic. Unfortunately most albums that have remixed/remastered written all over the cover don't sound any better than the original versions and in some cases actually sound worse.

The DCC Doors Series is very special. LA Woman and The Doors are perfect. The DVD-A of LA Woman is an obvious step down imo. I'm more interested in any improvement over the AF Soft Parade and Morrison Hotel, neither of which is that impressive imo.

Thanks for the early informative review. I'm on the fence whether or not to buy this boxset. I currently have all the Doors studio CD's with the 96/24 stereo mix. They all sound great. I also have LA Woman on DVD-Audio which just beats out the 96/24 stereo CD by a hair. What are your thoughts? Again thanks for answering all inquries. Jim
