In my searching for a so silent as possible powersupply offcourse we tried several solution's. Oa. the Jung super regulator etc. The last one seems to work verry nice in some aplication's. My question is as follow. I'm not that home in to all the standard voltage regulators available in the markte today. The 78xx/79xx series suck.

home back to learn back to power supplies. published: Jun-17-2015, updated: Mar-16-2017. Regulators …. some basics. Regulators are needed to create a stable power supply. The DC voltage directly from the rectifier contains an AC component (as shown above) and that ‘ripple’ voltage varies in level depending on the current drawn and the power rating of those parts.

DIY Audio Home. High voltage regulator. This is an implementation of a "Maida-style" high voltage floating regulator. Here is the schematic (or download it as a PDF file):. This regulator is of the type originally shown in an application note by Michael Maida, then of National Semiconductor, in 1980.

Shunt or Not - Looking for the Ultimate Audio Voltage ...

I had been looking for the ultimate audio voltage regulator for a long time. But thanks to the well-known Norwegian audio designer Erno Borbely (living in Germany at the moment), it became a reality! Testing more shunt models with selected components and numerous listening tests led to one current-source-fed super shunt, developed by Erno.
