I would say the new Diamond stuff is decent, but nothing special. They have changed a lot in the past few years. The president of Diamond Audio is now involved with Rockford Fosgate, which you are beginning to see in both company's new lines. Its definitely still decent gear, just not the same as it was in the beginning.

Diamond subs are some of the best you can get for the money, although they are no JL W7, they are quite sufficient and beat a lot of higher costing subs, they also have very good sound and hit hard. I personally don't own Diamond's but I have a friend who has 1x12" running on 300W and it hits harder and sounds better than most peoples pairs.

i have a diamond audio d6 12 and d6 components they sound good i have had this sub for like 5 years now and never had any problems. when i had a lot of power going to it i got stopped a lot and people would ask how many subs i had they were shocked to only see one.

The d9 and d6 subwoofers are a very good SQ sub. I am selling my Diamond D6 however, because I want something a little quieter. I have had a few Diamond subs and they all have a bit more motor noise than I'd like. Either way, they are great for the price. I've never heard anything lower than the D6 line.
