    I'm not sure but it seems like after upgrade the device was renamed from /dev/audio to /dev/audio1. However on my lap top it is /dev/audio. The stack trace looks like ALSA searches for device number 0. I've tried to create links /dev/audio -> /dev/audio1 and even renamed it but it didn't help. Also, I'm sure that my sound card is OK.

Here's the deal: - "/dev/dsp" and "/dev/sound/dsp" DO NOT EXIST. - I got 2 soundcards and they are being recognized correctly. - modules are loaded. - alsamixer shows my default card (T22, snd_ice1724) and displays everything as expected. - card is not muted except SPDIF (I use analog out)
