I just started this game as a first time player and everyones dialogue cuts off before the last 4-5 words as if someone is hitting an invisible skip button so the next person can talk. I can't always read the subtitles before it cuts off and it is generally offputting to even get into the game. What would be the cause for this?

Turns out all you have to do is swithc in the Kentie launcher the renderer from DX10 to OpenGL. If you have a glitchy audio after that (as in the comms sound like they are using a weird, bad microphone), in the same launcher switch the audio latency from 40 to 60.
