This PC, Local Disk (C usually), Program Files, Realtek, Audio, HDA. Then click on RtkNGUI64.exe. That is the Realtek audio manager. Not sure if that will open on your system.     Perhaps try removing the "Base System Device" in device manager and see if it is re-detected properly. It might be worth disabling the onboard sound in the BIOS, let windows see it has gone, then restart and enable it again. I had the same problem, but moving PCI slots worked for me - of course with an integrated device that isn't much use
