A bunch of mentions for CueTools in here, which I am trying, but it ain't working: Exception: Audio format is not Red Book PCM. Duh, I know that, but many people in that thread keep saying CueTools. (2.1.6, just DL'ed and installed.) I tried audio output as flac, wv, or wav and none of them work.

FLACCL: hi-res audio support refers to the CUETools.FLACCL.cmd.exe command-line tool. CUETools.exe still only accepts PCM (or lossless) Red Book audio input. You will still receive an "Exception: Audio format is not Red Book PCM" in CUETools if you try to input other than 16-bit, 44.1kHz stereo.

Input audio files must be uncompressed or compressed Red Book 2-channel 16-bit LPCM sampled at 44,100 Hz. Batch modes proceed without user interaction so popup windows presenting you with choices are disabled.

Red book audio CDs are 16bit, 44.1kHz, 2channels. That's it. Certain enhancements to the spec (SuperBitmapping, HDCD, AC3-CD, DTS-CD) are just workaround cheats that are more (sbm, hdcd) or less (ac3, dts) compatible, as they are still on surface using that same structure & bitrate (176.4kB/sec).
