    The slowing down problem is because you have sampled at one rate and are rendering at another. How or why you are doing that is anyones guess; like I'd guess you open with the same old template and are still sampling at 48, but it's only a guess. Check the files in your pool and look at their sample rates. They ALL have to match.

          It's either a problem with the sample rate or the settings of the playback engine (sped-up or slowed-down playback). If you haven't messed with the latter, it's very very likely your sample rate issue. I've experienced the same problem before. If you've set your session to 44.1 kHz then that's what Cubase expects to get at the import.
