    As a follow-up model T40s are supposed to sound even better so I would have no problem recommending them - for hifi type of use anyway. If you want cheap speakers to check your own audio mixes consider M-Audio AV40 though as that is what they are meant for but please accept you are not going to get accurate bass reproduction at this price level.
