You should be seeing a popup or something listing in Windows Notifications (it keeps a list; click that icon next to Clock). But overall, these sounds from the OS should all stop if you click Sound Icon > Mixer and Mute "System Sounds" I keep some of mine on 24/7; we maybe reboot them once per week.
