PortAudio: Building Portaudio for Mac OS X

    http://files.portaudio.com/docs/v19-doxydocs/compile_mac_coreaudio.html
By default, PortAudio is built as a universal binary. This includes 64-bit versions if you are compiling on 10.6, Snow Leopard. If you want a "thin", or single architecture library, you have two options: build a non-universal library using configure options. use lipo (1) on whatever part of the library you plan to use.

Can't compile on OS/X Snow Leopard

Incidentally if I can get a 32-bit version that builds on Snow Leopard, I'm hoping that'd give me Leopard+PPC without too much trouble. The last Xcode for that platform is only a couple revisions earlier (3.1.4 instead of 3.2) and the C compiler is 4.0x rather than 4.2. I would looooove to make this game available on PowerPC.

[Portaudio] Compiling Errors

    https://portaudio.music.columbia.narkive.com/GjcxFkl0/compiling-errors
Brand new to PortAudio, haven't worked with C in years. I am trying to compile pa_win_ds.c in version 19. I keep getting a series of "undeclared (first use in this function)" errors. The first one is with paInvalidChannelCount on line 1290. What am I doing wrong? Which libraries need to be linked in with pa_win_ds.c? Many thanks in advance.

make. sudo make install (maybe not needed if you statically link to it). move portaudio into the PyAudio directory, that is: cd .. (out of portaudio) mv portaudio PyAudio/portaudio-v19 (note need the v19 here) cd into PyAudio and run: make sure you're in the virtual environment, ie, source bin/activate.

snow leopard - Cannot compile C code after installing ...

    https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/24611/cannot-compile-c-code-after-installing-xcode
When I installed Xcode on Snow Leopard, gcc was not in my path. I manually added /Developer/bin to get gcc. However, I wrote a simple C program to include stdlib.h and stdio.h and print a string, but I get linker errors.. I think this is because I don't have my include path configured.
