Turns out the problem is not with the hub as my gt nephew attached the audio unit directly to it via ethernet and still could not get i-radio. It was obvious then that PAs wouldn't help and that the problem is the Cocktail Audio. It would seem that either they have stopped supporting the Firmware for the X10, or the i-radio part is broken.

For the benefit of anyone who encounters this problem, I found a solution, albeit a gigantic PITA. With my MusicDB database fully backed up, I reformatted the hard drive in the X12. Then I installed an earlier version of MusicDB, restored my music files (took almost 4 days), and got things back to normal. beatnik, May 9, 2017.
