The backup BD has garbled sound, basically pops and crackles. There are some earlier threads on Doom9 that say earlier versions of tsMuxer could not handle TrueHD. But later threads state that this has been fixed in later versions. I am using 1.10.6 version which is the latest version. Is this the problem with tsMuxer or this particular title?

@bouchnouk tsMuxer (and mpeg-ts generally) does not accept TrueHD without AC3 core. The problem is mkvtoolnix removing the AC3 core from Blu-rays. You can recreate a core with eac3to before muxing into txMuxer.

For reference, I never had an issue on TSMuxer with VR5 editing files and then using ffmpeg to change the audio from AAC to AC3. Using VR6, I edit files and change the audio the AAC audio to AC3.
