I have a very nice pair of Celestion 3's and they sounded dynamite while using them for Jazz speakers but when I got the idea to use one of them, temporarily, for a center channel speaker I made the mistake of pushing it too hard. These are only rated for 10 to 60 watts and I was using a Pioneer VSX-21 receiver that puts out 80 watts per channel.

I recently purchased a pair of Celestion A2 speakers. The A2s fall betweenthe A1 (small bookshelf 2-way) and the A3 (large floorstanding tower 3-way). The A2s are a small tower (35.5x9.5x15", 65 lbs), and I have them elevated about 2.5 feet off the ground, 3 feet away from the back walls. The A2 is described as a two and a half way speaker.
