the gap between songs i refer to is the 2 second pregap (Red Book CD). the pregap is typically two seconds long and usually, but not always, contains silence. so far cdrtfe (using cdrecord) appends the 2 second gap between tracks (they display negative -2s) even when i choose 'no pause' in the track options.
