New Canon 5D Mark II not recording audio. Jun 22, 2009. Just acquired a new Canon 5D Mark II and as the title says, I'm not getting accompanying audio with video. I've tried playing the files on 2 different PCs and on the camera. I've tried reading the manual (online version) and an alternative (and known to be working) external mic but all I get is a constant hiss.
