    Given how the 192 transformed my Bifrost from very good to outstanding, my money would be on the V DAC. MF seems to know what they are doing when it comes to most things related to digital music.     I don't either. But I have a DacMagic that I bought 4-5 years ago. I'm also familiar with the V-Dac from Musical Fidelity (again from 4-5 years ago). Frankly, to me, both of them sound pretty much the same. I'd say that the DacMagic has a slightly brighter sound, and so it sounds more open. Its high-frequency sounds a bit artificial to me.
