Cambridge Audio Azur 640A draws a wide and deep three-dimensional scene; solo violin sounds nice. The muting of high-frequency tails is slow and smooth. Cambridge Audio have really outdone themselves with the release of the Azur 640a Integrated Amp. I previously used the Denon AVR-3803 as my 2ch amp, but after taking the advice found on many forums on the Web about there relative lack of performance in this field compared to dedicated 2ch amps, I took the plunge and bought this amp.

Review: Cambridge Audio 640a Integrated Amplifier

All-in-all, the Cambridge Audio Azur 640a is a complete bargain. Having also heard the Creek, which is itself a great unit, I can not justify spending the extra $300 (400 if you want a remote) simply because it is a Creek. The Cambridge holds its own against integrateds I've come across costing well over three times the 640a's $499.00 MSRP.
