    The CA810 had two external bridges which made the connection. They had to be removed if you wanted to loop-in something (e.g. an equaliser) between preamp and poweramp: YAMAHA CA 810 - Yamaha Gallery - 2012-08-25 17:43 - HiFi Engine. In your case these bridges were lost. Replace them with two short cables.
