    EDIT: If you want DTS CD's to work on your PS3, then set the CD sampling rate to 44.1/88.2/176.8. Then go to the audio options (optical/hdmi) and unselect 88.2 & 176.8Khz. When you play the CD, make sure you havent adjusted the volume within the PS3. If it is a DTS CD then you shouldnt hear styatic anymore.
