The DVD-A definitely sounds warmer and more pleasant to my ears. Bass is slightly more pronounced and deep, while mids and highs are clean but not overly bright. The bass boom in The Man's Too Strong is powerful and clean - one of my favorite parts of the disc. The SACD is definitely hotter and brighter.

Yes, I just ordered Brothers in Arms from amazon imports, and neither my Pioneer Elite 45A nor 47A seem to recognize it. I haven't had a problem with any other SACDs, DVD audios or even Dual Discs. Don't know what it is, but I just reordered Brothers in Arms in DVD audio format from amazon canada.

The SACD CD Layer is a noticeable improvement from the original CD and the SACD 2-channel sounds better than the SACD CD Layer. Truly, a win-win situation!
