    Don't most compressor/limiters have a lot of initial overshoot before gain reduction starts? Only the broadcast stuff had look ahead or some sort of clipping to prevent the initial over modulation. I know all the ones I have used (dbx, vx200, etc) let the initial audio overmodulate the transmitter before gain reduction started.
