I have the 'TV' function selected on the Bose. I also get audio out of the tv's speakers no problem. The PS3 is connected to the TV via HDMI.

I've checked all the HDMI inputs and I only get audio through the speakers. I'm told it may be the actual HDMI cable. I need an older cable, version 1.0-1.2 vs the current 2.0 type of HDMI cables used today.
