For me if I do Skype first and then Borderlands 2, there is sound. The other way around, no sound. Also if I'm in-game and using headphones (Skype or no) and unplug, there is no sound till I leave and re-enter the game. No idea why, but hey, I can work around it.

I can't find a solution in google. I also tried turning my ps3 off, my TV off, and unplugging/replugging everything. If I'm not the only one that can't fix it and it's an issue only with Borderlands 2, I hope there'll be a patch to fix this. Otherwise, if there isn't a solution, at least AC3 is around the corner...

Going into Settings > Sound > App volume and device preferences > selecting “Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)”. Checking if the volume is low in the Volume Mixer. Running as Administrator, but the game keeps asking me to Run as Admin and doesn’t even open. Same for running in XP SP2. Tried using -nolauncher in launch options for steam.
