I bought a used MK6 Golf GT TDI a few months back from a VW dealer and got them to fit the RNS 510 satnav/radio. Due to limited funds I didn't consider the bluetooth option to allow me to use my phone through the unit. I have a RNS510 fitted from new in 2010. Also with premium telephone Bluetooth which works fine with my mobile. The user manual states that if you have the premium telephone Bluetooth fitted, your then unable to Bluetooth your audio/music through, but need an MDI and connect your iPod or iPhone with a cable and then use the RNS screen to select & play.

With Volk-L, none of the RNS-510 phone interfaces/functions work. I wish the voice recognition worked. On the steering wheel, the STAR button mutes the radio and the PHONE button answers incoming calls and hangs up incoming/outgoing calls. Seems that your dealer installed something other than Volk-L, possibly a FISCON or SKODA unit.

It has the RNS 510 head unit. It seems as if it has bluetooth since it has an option but I'm not seeing any way to put it in pairing mode. I did find a post some where saying that the bluetooth module is under the passenger seat but when I look under there everything is so jammed pack that I can't see what anything is.
