    I too have realtek audio and use to have a realtek audio manager pop up for when i used the jack. However, since the Windows 2004 update it disappeared and I had the same problem you have. However, having searched my control panel, mine had changed to Dell Audio! It works so i wasn't too fussed. I do have a Dell PC anyway.
