    From what I've read, PCM is the raw uncompressed audio and as a result in theory, it is higher quality than bitstream. Where things get weird is how Dolby (bitstream) is 5.1 ch whereas pcm is only 2.1 which would mean bitstream becomes the higher quality... Is that right?
