James, I got an answer that works. The 10.4 version of Desktop Video doesn't work with the Intensity Pro 4K. On the direction of Blackmagic I downloaded (from the Blackmagic web support site) and installed Desktop Video version 10.3.7 and everything is working fine. Audio capture in composite and component video is works fine.

I just put in a intensity pro card into a 2.66 intel mac. I can capture video fine from HDMI output from a Sony HVR-M25U vcr, but there’s no audio going into 6.0 FCP system. Audio plays fine thru external speakers from vcr. I have the preferences set to intensity for both input & output. With Firewire the audio is fine. I know it’s a click away.

I use Capture "Device Source" - Declinc Video Capture, and Declink Audio Capture with "Output audio to desktop" option. And I can control output volume IN capture device settings, and what I get in stream - I get on my PC for me. Also - I hear sound from my Blackmagic only on scenes with Capture Device source.
