I had an Excelsior Pro and got the Billm audio mod for the tone knob. I really couldn't tell it made any difference. I thought the amp was very dry, no sparkle, shimmer or life to the tone. I really tried to like it, based on the good looks. It is also very heavy. I'll stick with my Blues Jr III. The Excelsior is not for me.
