Hi everyone, Looking for diy stage monitors for an acoustic live band, I found this page on the Beyma site: Recommended Enclouse Designs - Beyma. Here are some very well detailed diy projects. Personally I found the 15P80ND a little less open sounding that smaller diameter midranges, but adding a dedicated mid would make the speaker a 3-way with two 15" woofers.... Using a Beyma 8G40 would probably make the midrange better.

I had to use what was laying around - Beyma's response simulation was for 50l & 50Hz tuning - am not sure if that chosen for falt passband. I would tune wherever it sounds best for most music tracks. Tuning above fs can sometimes sound more 'solid' - perhaps because the 2nd impedance peak is lower in amplitude than the first peak (?)

would do better, also Car Audio types. If budget is in restraints, maybe the Fane is Ok ( for 70€ ) because to get a decent pair of classic 12"+1" tweeter+horn in enclosure it costs about 500 €. But of course you are limited by the characteristics of the single driver, as GM pointed that simply adding a CP25 tweeter ( but that's about 90 ...
