V1 not V2, what amp would work well with this and give me the best performance out of the amp, around or under $200? It is rated at 300W RMS. I currently have a Kenwood but it is underpowered at 125W for this sub.

There is usually a switch on the back of amp heads that allow you to specify 4, 8, or 16 ohms, 8 and 16 being the most popular. I think he is saying you can put any load on a JL amp so long as it's not under 2 ohms. My amp is the same way but it's 4 ohms rated, but it's 1,600 watts so it's different than his I'm sure.
