It has a separate external Avondale power supply, Trichord clock with dedicated power supply and I understand that the DAC is converted to Non Over Sampling.

Now, it may seem to some visitors to this page that I'm knocking Naim and accusations to that effect have been plentiful.

Avondale Audio ACD3, IMHO there's nothing that can get close to it for under £3k and it only costs about £1500 Alternatively the Avondale AAA5 (Modified Arcam alpha 5) that goes for around £500 but will compete with players over double the price no problems. See here for a review. Cheers Dan
