Xpress Pro isn't qualified to work on Vista, so that could be part of the problem. If you can go back to Windows XP Pro SP2, that's the first thing I'd suggest. If not, go to your Windows audio settings and make sure the system is set up to use the Soundblaster card instead of the Realtek card.

I see picture and audio fine on preview display of the HVR-M25U, and I have deck control in Avid Xpress Pro, but I see no audio or video in Avid...just black. I can arm the video and audio tracks for capture, but nothing shows up in the preview window. I have the deck setup as follows: HDV/DV SEL: AUTO i.LINK SET: OFF (no HDV to DV conversion)
