Yesterday, I purchased Avid Vocal Studio and Avid Key Studio. Both come with Avid Pro Tools SE 8.0.3 I've done my best to check through instructions, video guides, FAQs etc but I've been unable to resolve these two problems.

The audio clip will play back fine in itunes but when played in the source monitor or record monitor it is distorted. Also importing and other audio clips into the source and record monitors results in distorted playback. The problem can be corrected if the audio levels are taken way down to about -10, however that is not a viable fix.
