I just installed the latest version of Media Composer on Mac (Catalina 10.15.7) and Media Composer crashes when I get to AMPIPluginDSM.avx. I uninstalled everything and redid a clean installation, I have no Audio plugin installed and the PACE Driver is installed correctly. Thank you for your help !

On your desktop create a new folder and call it Avid Audio Plug-Ins Go to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins folder. (Windows 10 pro address path) Open this folder and Ctrl A to select all the files. Move these files to the new Avid Audio Plug-Ins folder on your desktop. Try opening MC.

After that AMC 5 hanged on Initializing Audio Plugins, solution, go through all the RTAS plugins to see which one is hanging AMC and move it to "Plug-Ins (Unused)" The unique problem is that you have to move it continuously form the "Plug-Ins" folder to "Plug-Ins (Unused)" when using AMC and put it back when using Pro Tools. Solved.
