I have been having issues with audio initialization (and ACPL) at launch on MC 3.0.5 and 3.1.1 for months. After various posts, I have now had an Avid tech here to troubleshoot. He can not figure it out. There is nothing obviously wrong that he can see. He also rolled me back to 3.0.5 to check and advised me to stay on it.
