Audio Underrun. I get Audio underrun when I play projects in the Timeline. It is only projects stored or partially stored on my external drive, Iomega 250 GB. The problems appeared after I did two things: I had to change netcable to a non Iomega (E: drive) cable, and I made a lot of safety copying from this drive to my internal drives, C and D.

Audio underrun is a sign for lack of memory ressource. ... No it's not avid approved, but I haven't had any problems with it until now. Underruns are mostly dependent on how os/kernel distributes cpu time between high priority tasks such as drivers/irq handlers. In my case HDD driver was doing about 50 ms latency while usb audio about 5 ms and other tasks were fairly low too. This caused random underruns even if cpu meter was low.

Couple with this every channel I search through from 5000 upwards with the exception of the first 20 or so i get a message say Audio/video buffer underrun and therefore so service what so ever.
