AVI files are supposed to be compatible with MM but when I import an avi file (from my Vado HD pocket camcorder) MM can only play the audio, there is no video. I had the same problem with only some .avi playing just audio. Went to the link in Peymonster’s post above and downloaded the divx suite. Fired up divx player and the .avi all work perfect. That’s a good free codec they include. Real sharp playback.
