I need to ultimately convert it to wmv so I used AutoGK to convert to an AVI. When I do this, the video is fine, but the audio gradually gets more and more out of sync. The VOB's are fine; I've watched the segments I need but still get the issue. I've followed a couple tutorials and searched on this but haven't found anything helpful.

The moment I load it up (the final muxed .ts file) in AutoGK, it doesn't detect the audio part or play it. It's unable to read any codec info in Gspot. The original file for some reason is able to be read,encoded, perfect in AutoGK so I don't really know where the problem is since it's the same ac3 audio. anyone had any similar issues?

In the earlier versions of XviD, AutoGK used 1 B frame, a quantizer ratio of 150, and an offset of 100, or 1/150/100. With the new 1.0 RC4, this becomes 1/1.5/1. Since B frames are based on the P frames on either side, then with P frames of 2 and 2, the B Frame becomes 4.

AutoGK gets it right every single time. So there has got to be a way to fix this. I think for most of them I have discovered that if I open the properties tab in Avidemux that the video track is longer or shorter than the audio track. I do not think a set offset will fix it, the sound will slowly desync worse over time.

The Sync Offset in the Advanced Audio Properties doesn't have any effect on media sources like audio wav files. That's why I was looking for a solution, and I thought a VST plugin could help. But now I found a better solution. Thanks anyway ;-) …
