The vacuum reservoir is mounted above the left engine head just behind the left glove box using a length of 1" wide 1/8" aluminum bar stock that I bent around the pipe and epoxy'd in place. Of all of the farkles I've added to my ST1100, this is by far my favorite. I'm really looking forward to my first cross-country trip with it.

I don't know why but the AudioVox vacuum reservoir works a lot better with my cruise than the home make one I tried. Maybe the volume was too small in the one I made? The vacuum source comes from the top of the throttle body. The hose (green arrow) is the vacuum source for the reed valve switch. The check valve (blue arrow) keeps the vacuum in the reservoir. I found it in the HELP! section at AutoZone. You should be able to blow TO the engine but not suck from it.

Built Reservoir Vacuum Tank out of 1-1/2" x 6" PVC pipe and 2 caps. Installed vacuum check valve (from autoparts store) and T fitting (from audiovox stuff) with 2 ton epoxy. Will mount above servo on left side between gas tank and side fairing.
